"Young woman with shawl and fan", 1934.
Hand painted terracotta.
Signed and dated on the base.
It presents a restoration in the neck.
Measurements: 24 x 13 x 6 cm.
The sculptor and designer Antonio Garrigós frequented the well-known Group of the Oriental Coffee, a centric coffee of Murcia in which they met in animated gatherings different artists like Clemente Cantos, Victorio Nicolás, Pedro Flores and Luis Garay. Together with Clemente Cantós he opened the workshop Bellos Oficios de Levante. During his years as a sculptor, he also became councilman of Parks and Gardens, strongly betting on the nineteenth-century designs, wild and full of vegetation against geometric designs.
