Thuringia cup, Art Deco period, 30-50s. Blown glass. Measurements: 23.5 x 6 x 6 cm. Ornamental cup in round bulk with the form of a beautiful woman of stylized but naturalistic anatomy, executing a dynamic dance step, raised on one foot, with one leg raised and the raised arm holding the cup container. It is a realistic work in its modeling but rigorous and geometric in its composition, perfectly reflecting the aesthetic basis of Art Deco.
