Late 19th century North American school Unitas, Benevolentia, Concordia Oil on red cloth not mounted on stretcher depicting the emblem and motto of the Ancient Order of Foresters (AOF) flanked by two figures, one representing England, the other America. H_164 cm, W_170 cm Tears and missing material. NB: The AOF is one of the oldest fraternal and mutual aid societies. It was founded in England in the mid-18th century, and later expanded its influence across the Atlantic.
