Eichenrodt was a painter, graphic artist and illustrator, he studied from 1890 to 1903 at the Academy of Arts in Karlsruhe under Leopold Graf von Kalckreuth and Hans Thoma, later at the Academy in Munich, afterwards he worked as a teacher at the Academy, worked for the magazine "Jugend", participated in the exhibitions at the Glaspalast in Munich, at the major art exhibitions in Berlin, Baden-Baden and Karlsruhe.
