Naumann, Robert - 1890 Schandelah near Braunschweig - Braunschweig, "Monte Cavo im Gewitter", oil/painting card, use of various earth tones that contrast with the blue of Lake Albano in front of Monte Cavo, two-dimensional, linearly structured painting style, unsigned, titled on the reverse, minimal paint splashes, approx. 39x49cm, frame minimally bumped, approx. 43.5x53cm. Naumann attended the Kunstgewerbeschule in Braunschweig, the Städtische Malschule near Munich and the Großherzogliche Sächsische Kunstschule in Weimar under Fritz Mackensen (1910-1918 professor in Weimar), Theodor Hagen (1842-1919) and Ludwig von Hofmann (1861-1945), he traveled to Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Yugoslavia, whose impressions he processed in watercolours and oil paintings
