Inscribed in weathered wood, with patina browned in places, the male figure sits curled up, arms and legs folded against his trunk with suppleness and delicacy, reinforcing the meditative allure. The rounded face, with its mysterious, unobtrusive features, is topped by an imposing, horizontal headdress featuring a bird.
