Beautiful hunting pinfire harquebus.
Strong rifled barrel, slightly blunderbussed at the muzzle, with sights and folding single-leaf frog. Thunder stamped "I.G DAX".
Inner wheel lock signed on the tail "IOANN GEORG DAX MUNCH-EN" and decorated with a finely engraved gallant scene.
Dog, spring, inner spring cover plate of lock nicely chased with foliage scrolls in succession. Finger rest decorated in succession.
Red fruitwood frame with drawer lined with two stag bone plates engraved with a castle and rabbit on a landscaped background, enriched with foliage.
Deer antler buttplate marked "1562". Stock and barrel decorated with a deer antler fillet and plaques en suite. Wooden ramrod with deer antler tip.
