Neoclassical style CLOCK - Late 19th century - in black patina regula and black granite, with allegory of Antiquity, featuring a woman with a laurel head holding a tablet inscribed "Homère - Virgile - Horace", leaning on the dial decorated with rose garland, lyre, laurel wreath and sheet music. White enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours and chemin de fer for the minutes Brocot suspension movement signed Japy in apparent working order (not guaranteed) complete with gong and balance wheel, incomplete with key. 43 x 51 x 17 cm (Chipped enamel on dial) Lot from an estate, sold for the benefit of the Bullukian Foundation
