ANTONI PONS I CIRAC (1921-1998). UNTITLED.
Carved glass. Framed.
Signed.
Born in Maella (Zaragoza) and known as the Artist of glass or the Angel of glass, together with his brother he founded the glass company "Pons Germans". The technique used in his carving works has earned him the name of "bas-relief sculptor".
Several Spanish and foreign museums have works by him. We recommend consulting the Pons Cirac Museum and the Pons Cirac room of Vallhonrat Ethnographic Museum, in Rubí (Barcelona) and the film Les mans de Pons Cirac (1967).
