From 1945 to 1948 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg, in the atelier of Willie Titze and Theo Ortner. Parallel to his career as an artist, he also worked as an interior designer for companies and households. His art often features the human figure, but he also did not hesitate to experiment with abstraction - in his landscapes one can find the influence of Paul Klee, but also his own experiences as an architect. Until the 1990s, his works were regularly shown in solo and group exhibitions in Germany and abroad, including New York, London, Washington, Mexico and Moscow. Alfred Klosowski passed away in Hamburg on April 4, 2020.
