CHINA - 19th century Dark blue gauze dress, embroidered with gold and polychrome threads with nine five-clawed dragons, depicted in front or in profile, chasing sacred pearls, among stylized clouds, "shou" (longevity) characters and auspicious symbols, above a band of lishui and sacred peaks. The sleeve and collar borders are embroidered with dragons surrounded by clouds on a black background.
