Modeled after the obelisk of Hatshepsut in the Great Temple of Amun, ca. 1840.
Carved walnut wood.
Measurements: 74 x 15,5 x 15,5 cm.
This obelisk reproduces the original located in the Great Temple of Amun in Karnak. It is formed by a single piece of pink granite and has a height of almost 30 meters. At present only one of the obelisks of Hatshepsut remains standing in its original location. Its pair can be seen on the floor of the temple, which allows to appreciate in detail its inscriptions.
