Measurements: 118 x 48 x 48 cm.
Pair of Castilian chairs from the late Baroque period, in chestnut wood. The aristocratic and solemn openwork backs are carved with reliefs representing rockery motifs based on scallops, palmettes and scrolls intertwined with flowers with sensual corollas. The carvings are painted in green and red polychrome. The same motifs, with slight variations, are repeated on the skirts that decorate the flanks, which are cut out in profile. The square legs are joined with crosspieces.
