One gelatin silver print or original vintage press photographic reproduction related to Elizabeth Taylor, an incredibly popular star of classical Hollywood cinema in the 1950s, from the archives of the Star Tribune. The label on the back states: Carl Sandburg chatted with actress Elizabeth Taylor about the film, “The Greatest Story Ever Told,” in Hollywood, Calif. Miss Taylor is slated to play the role of Mary Magdalene. Sandburg is writing the screen play. It will be the first scriptwriting attempt by the 82-year-old author [of Abraham Lincoln’s biography].” Provenance: From the archives of the Star Tribune, established over 150 years ago, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
