A second Afghan War pair and LS&GC Medal group of three to a soldier of the Kings’s Royal Rifle Corps, consisting of: Afghanistan Medal 1878-80 with two clasps: ‘Ahmed Khel’ and ‘Kandahar’ named to: 1073 Pte G Seymour 2/60th Foot; Kabul to Kandahar Star 1880 named to: 1073 Private Geo Seymour 2/60 Foot; Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, Queen Victoria third type, named to : 1073 Pte G Seymour K Rl Rif C. Private George Seymour attested on 6 January 1864 and was discharged to pension on 17 March 1885. In addition to his service in the Second Afghan War, he served in Canada, South Africa and for over thirteen years in India. Some light contact marking to the Afghan Medal and polishing on the Star. Otherwise Very Fine (VF) condition.
