NASA. LARGE FORMAT. Astronaut Bruce McCandless mounts the Remote Manipulator System (RMS) in front of the aft flight deck. The RMS workstation system has tools and EVA bags attached to its end, within easy reach of the astronaut. This allows the astronaut to easily perform a wide range of maintenance tasks on loads in the Space Shuttle's payload bay or on satellites in orbit. February 13, 1984.
