Description:
The precise etching shows the ruins of the ancient Aqua Marcia, visible in a pastoral scenario. Aqueduct elements and fragmented architecture are depicted in detail against a horizon under a cloudy sky. Probably a later print for the French-language edition of the "Malerisch radirte Prospekte von Italien".
