Description:
The etching shows the ruins of an ancient amphitheatre, the Colosseum in Rome, surrounded by lush vegetation. Three cows and a dog enliven the scene, while human figures make music and rest under the arch. Probably a later print for the French-language edition of the "Malerisch radirte Prospekte von Italien".
