Description:
The work presents a collection of twelve vignettes. They illustrate various scenes and objects, including human figures in historical clothing, dogs in various positions, a rabbit as well as books and household objects. The arrangement of the vignettes allows for individual viewing, while the detail and accuracy of the depiction conveys a realism that is typical of documentary illustration at the time. All depictions bear the same initial, illustrated here and printed at the top centre.
