Bittner f. N. 61 / de Pian invt.". At the lower part inscribed: "Aleibeades". Date: c. 1818 Description: This is a finely executed print depicting a classicist interior. In the foreground a columned architecture opens up, behind it a draped cloth reveals a bed and a burning candlelight. The room is characterised by strict symmetry and exact proportions, lending the scene a sublime stillness and order.
