Bundele (19th) after DÜRER (*1471), Entombment of Christ, Copper engraving Bundele (19th century) after Albrecht Dürer (1471 Nuremberg - 1528 ibid.): Entombment of Jesus Christ, 19th century, Copper engraving Technique: Copper engraving on Paper Inscription: lower left inscribed in the printing plate: "AD 1512". Verso further inscription: "B. 15 H. 386 Bundeleische Cop. n. d. Gegens.". Date: 19th century Description: Reverse copy with Dürer's monogram and date. Inscribed "AD" and "1512" lower left. The image corresponds to sheet 13 from Dürer's engraved Passion, which was created between 1507 and 1512. The copy is one of the reprints by the Bamberg antiquarian Bundele, which are generally highly accurate. Older such copies are considered very rare.
