Jean BERTHOLLE (1909-1996) for GIEN. Model "Chasse Rambouillet" comprising 18 pieces: a large round dish decorated with a stag, a large round deep dish decorated with a wild boar, an ashtray decorated with a mallard duck, a sauceboat forming a partridge, a large oval dish decorated with a roe deer, and 13 plates (3 decorated with woodcocks, a hare, two partridges, 3 pheasants, 2 mallards, 2 decorated with a family of hares). This service, designed by Jean Bertholle, was created for French President René Coty. This hand-painted set was created in 1955 for the prestigious residences that hosted the presidential hunting parties.
