SPANISH SCHOOL (18th century) "The Pietà", 1745 Oil on canvas. It presents a cartouche with the indulgence of Don Gaspar de Miranda y Argaiz, Bishop of Pamplona. Inscription on the back with date of execution and name of the client of the work: "YEAR D 1747 / A DEVOZ[ION] DE JU[A]N MAR[]N / DE ARAIZA I TRESAZABALCA". The painting is inspired by the model created by Annibale Carracci, spread thanks to the print by Pieter de Bailliu. Measurements: 140 x 110 cm.
