An Early 19th-century French tortoiseshell table snuff box, the hinged cover inset with a hand-painted plaque depicting a pastoral scene, thumbpiece open to reveal a yellow metal lined interior, bearing two maker's marks of Nicolas Lecoufle and L.A.B. Baudin, struck with French rooster mark for 3rd-grade gold indicating 18ct gold (1809-1819), overall dimension 9.0 x 5.3 x 2.1 cm, weighs 99.8 grams. Damage on tortoiseshell
