A pair of antique Japanese dolls in a glass box, Present a Noh play, "Old Couple from Takasago", from the Taisho period (1912-26). The man's name is Joe and his wife is Oba. They symbolize long life and happiness as Joe sweeps the good and Uba sweeps the bad. This pair is quite popular in Japan and is often given as wedding gifts.
