One of 999 numbered copies. - Very good condition. - This atlas was produced around 1542 in Venice for King Henry VIII (1491-1547) and was created by Battista Agnese (ca. 1500-1564). He is considered one of the most accomplished and productive cartographers of the 16th century and received numerous commissions for atlases from European rulers, including King Henry VIII of England in 1542. All parts of this atlas are related to each other, linking the conquests, new discoveries and adventures of mankind into a universal structure.
