After Livingstone's death he continued his journey and was the first to cross Central Africa from east to west. - Vol. I and II with stamped bookplate on title, vol. II also with mounted label and ownership mark. Label and ownership note as blindstamp. - Mostly somewhat foxed due to paper (some more heavily affected), book block of vol. I somewhat unprofessionally glued, vol. II with detached book block (the binding, however, firm and only individual pages detached). Overall in good condition, with numerous fine woodcut illustrations and the often missing map. First German edition. - 2 vols. (in 1). With 29 plates, 4 facsimiles and 1 folded lithogr. map. - Green orig. cloth with gilt title on spine, title on cover (slightly rubbed a. bumped). - First german edition. - Vol. I and II with stamped bookplate on title, vol.
