March 24 - April 26, 1936, mostly silver gelatin prints on photo paper (Agfa Brovira and others). Dimensions from 4 x 4 cm to 20.5 x 14.5 cm. Landscape 4°. Mounted in cloth album of the period with cord binding. There mostly inscribed in writing. From Shanghai with extensive shore leave and stops in Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, Penhang, Sumatra, Colombo, Suez Canal, Port Said, Marseille, Barcelona, Mallorca, Southhampton, Rotterdam, The Hague to Bremerhaven. - The "Scharnhorst" remained in Japan after the outbreak of war and was converted into an aircraft carrier there. - Garnished with a few photo postcards and foreign pictures. - Small shirt with small marginal tears, some photographs removed, some silvered, but overall in very good condition.
