Harris et al, Claude Collection of 18 original negatives on glass and celluloid. Circa 1910, dimensions from 16 x 10.5 cm to 21.5 x 16.5 cm. Some inscribed "Spencer Harris", "Spencer", "Harris" and "Hardwich" by hand in the margin, one signed "Mishkin" in the motif. Contains portraits of some famous personalities of the time: Auguste Rodin (glass negative), cf. National Portrait Gallery Inv. NPG x9102. The dancer Anna Pavlova in her garden in London (glass negative), cf. NPG x139739. Four photographs of her on celluloid and one on glass, including one by Hermann Mishkin. - The Prince of Wales, later Edward VIII, in naval uniform. (glass negative) - Also five unknown portraits of gentlemen, two portraits of ladies, a gentleman at a desk, a lady at a desk, a bedroom with chinoiserie. - With traces of use and storage due to age as well as slight silvering. One glass negative with broken corner (enclosed), the portrait of Rodin with small loss to one corner. Claude Harris and others. Collection of 18 original negatives on glass and celluloid. Circa 1910. - Some handwritten in the margin inscribed "Spencer Harris", "Spencer", "Harris" and "Hardwich", one signed "Mishkin" in the subject.
