März 1904 Die Voigtsche Liedertafel." - The photographs of the costume party organized by the crew on board show the participants in Asian, Oriental and other costumes, sailors, some posing in front of Asian-style paravans, group shots of the crew and presumably sales representatives, a portrait with a sign around his neck with the inscription "Ventriloquist", a gentleman with a top hat in the gesture of a magician flanked by two people in bizarre crocodile costumes. - Partly rubbed and somewhat faded, overall good. Album with 34 mounted orig. photographs. Vintages. Albumen prints. Leather with gilt-stamped title to front board (spine old renewed, rubbed, corners scuffed, cover dampstained). - With mounted typographical dedication to Mr. Gustav Sobbe in recognition of his services to the costume festival on board the ship "V.L." in the port of Singapore. - The photographs of the costume party on board organized by the crew show the participants in Asian, Oriental and other costumes, sailors, partly posing in front of Asian-looking paravans, group shots of the crew and presumably trade representatives, a portraitist with a sign around his neck with the inscription "Ventriloquist", a gentleman with a top hat in the gesture of a magician flanked by two persons in bizarre crocodile costumes. - Partly rubbed and somewhat faded, overall good.
