Splendid, fine-lined and nuanced impression with wide margins. Published by Fietta et Comp, Augsburg. - The publishing house Fietta et Companie was founded by the Italian Dominicus Fietta. Having traveled to Augsburg from Italy, Fietta wanted to settle in the city and establish his publishing house. However, Augsburg's established publishers prevented this due to the threat of competition, so Fietta settled outside the city gates in Kriegshaber, which at the time did not belong to Augsburg but to Vorderösterreich. From 1795, in addition to prints, he mainly published peep-box sheets, for which he became famous. The zoological motif of the stag - particularly strikingly depicted without ears - is therefore a rare motif within the publisher's oeuvre and especially within the genre of broadsheets. Broadsheet.
