London, Oriental Translation Fund of Great Britain and Ireland, 1854. hardcover with gilt stamped title (somewhat rubbed and bumped, title somewhat faded). Rare, currently not traceable for us in international trade. - Translated by J. G. L. Kosegarten. - The English part paginated from left to right, the Arabic from right to left. - Although a translation was apparently planned for a second volume, only a reproduction of the Arabic text of the poems was published in this first volume. - Endpapers and title page with owner's stamp, the endpapers also somewhat browned and slightly foxed, only a few sporadic minimal stains. Overall well preserved. Arabic literature - Cont. half cloth with gilt title on spine (slightly rubbed a. bumped, title on spine somewhat faded). - Rare, currently for us not verifiable in international trade. - The English part is paginated from left to right, the Arabic from right to left. - Although a translation was apparently planned for a second volume, only a reproduction of the Arabic text of the poems was published in this first volume. - Endpapers and title page with owner's stamp, the endpapers also somewhat browned and lightly foxed, only occasional minimally stained. Overall well preserved.
