Due to censorship harassment, only 18 issues were published in the first year. The last issues consisted almost entirely of censorship gaps. After the provisional final issue on May 18, 1847, number 19 appeared on April 2, 1848, after a short break of one year, under the sole editorship of the 'wild' publicist Wilhelm Marr", who closed his editorial office in Wandsbek in 1852 with number 222.
