One of 750 copies on Vélin du Marais (GA 845). - Vallier 37 - Second edition with the artist's facsimile diaries from 1917 to 1947 and the extension to 1955, containing his famous aphorisms and thoughts on art. The originals calligraphed and illustrated by Braque, printed by Mourlot. The sheets artfully combine image and text and were published shortly before the major retrospective at the MoMA in New York in 1949 - Partly slightly browned and with flaking. Overall in good condition. With numerous lithographed plates. Loose sheets in colored lithographed wrappers. In illustrated cloth case with cord binding. - One of 750 copies on Vélin du Marais. - The originals calligraphed and illustrated by Braque, printed by Mourlot. The sheets artfully combine image and text and were published shortly before the great retrospective at the MoMA in New York in 1949. - Partly delicately browned and with offsetting. Overall in good condition.
