The illustration shows the front view of the market stall. - The little-known exhibitor W. Sühring probably traveled mainly through northern Germany in the late 1880s. The "folk museum", as Sühring called his exhibition, consisted of a large number of mechanized wax figures of historical, contemporary or mythical characters, scenes and figures. These included a snake charmer, Little Red Riding Hood's encounter with the wolf in the woods, a polar bear and wolf hunt on the Arctic Ocean, etc. - Paper condition: delicately and very evenly browned, folds smoothed several times, 1 small tear, but overall in very good condition.
