Hungary Order of the Banner of the Hungarian People’s Republic with Rubies 1976 vgAE 80 mm.; Enameled; in original box; original name: Magyar Népköztársaság Zászlórendje; Order instituted in 1956. Order awarded to Hungarian and foreign citizens who, through their work, acquired outstanding achievements in the struggle for peace or State building, in the development of friendly relations and cooperation between the Hungarian People’s Republic and other States, and atmosphere of mutual trust in order to strengthen peace between countries and interstate security. Order was established in five classes, the 4th and 5th being abolished in 1963. In 1976, the classes names were changed: Order of the Banner of the Hungarian People's Republic with diamonds, Order of the Banner of the Hungarian People’s Republic with rubies, Order of the Banner of the Hungarian People’s Republic with a laurel wreath and Order of the Banner of the Hungarian People's Republic.; Condition-I
