It was at the end of the 19th century that the first engine found its place in a Studebaker chassis. The brand went on to become a household name, offering a range of trucks and touring cars, to such an extent that after the Second World War, it made a name for itself on the Swiss market. In 1947, the "Champion" was the first car with a pontoon body. In 1953, the "Starliner" model, with its European lines, became the basis for a whole series of coupés.
