Visconti fountain pen "Aragonese Mudejar Art", 2007. Limited Edition 233/600. Visconti fountain pen "Aragonese Mudejar Art", 2007. Limited Edition 233/600. Collection dedicated by Visconti to Aragonese Mudejar Art, whose manifestation extended from the 12th to the 17th century from the Aljaferia Palace in Zaragoza, the capital of Aragon and the Ebro Valley. Paradigm of Spanish art, the Mudejar is a fusion of Islamic art with Romanesque and Gothic. Body and cap made of ivory-colored pearl resin decorated with different motifs of Aragonese Mudejar art: two borders of geometric motifs on the cap and an image of a building on the barrel in the same color, highlighting the linear shapes typical of this style. The engraved designs have been executed using the "Scrimshaw" technique, which consists of cutting the resin with an extremely sharp blade and then filling in the lines with ink. This technique was formerly used to decorate ivory canes, knife handles and rifle butts. Crown topped by the classic embossed anagram of the house and curved clip design with the Visconti name in gold-plated on an enameled background. Registered "High vacuum power filler" loading system with double reservoir. Between the nozzle and the barrel there is a transparent window that allows you to see the ink remaining in the reservoir. 18K gold nib. Fine writing point (F). Original case, documentation and inkwell included. New, brand new.
