This statue represents a goddess of fertility, possibly from the Mesopotamian region. The figure stands erect with exaggerated features including an elongated head and protruding lips. The hands are folded in the center and a slight bump around the navel (a representation of pregnancy). Ancient World - 3rd Millenium BC. Dimensions: H; excluding base 10 5/8 in., (29 cm.) Very good for its age. Small cracks throughout. See photos for reference.
