This vase features floral motifs and geometric leaf designs on the upper and lower half of the body and neck. The vase is signed on the bottom with Satsuma ware by Mr. Unkai, Ijuin village, Imperial Japan, and has the Shimazu Mon, the crest of the Shimazu clan that ruled Satsuma.
