XAVIER FEAL (France, 20th century) for INOX INDUSTRIE.
Lounge Chair and ottoman, 1970s.
Steel and leather.
Measurements: 93 x 93 x 96 cm (lounge); 61 x 61 x 40 cm (ottoman).
Lounge chair designed by Xavier Feal in the 1970s and produced by Inox Industrie. The armchair, raised on a trumpet-shaped circular base, has a large seat upholstered in brown leather with a very elegant capitonee pattern. The ottoman follows the same characteristics.
Xaviel Feal trained at the Boulle School and the Decorative Arts in Paris. He created a range of stainless steel furniture on behalf of the manufacturer Inox Industrie. This short production was marketed from 1969 to 1974 and consisted of seats, tables and coffee tables, lamps, shelving elements and decorative objects such as desk and fireplace accessories and candlesticks. From 1975 onwards, Xavier Féal slowly abandoned the world of furniture to move into industrial design and precision engineering.
