LE HENAFF Danuta (1923-2013) - Polychrome earthenware vase decorated with a rooster and two zebus, influenced by Malagasy art. Signed, located in Tananarive (for the origin of the decoration) and dated 1962. H. 20 cm. Of Polish origin, Danuta Le Henaff left Poland in 1946, first for Paris and the Ecole des Arts appliqués, then for Madagascar, where she met her husband Yann Le Henaff, who was stationed in the island's military. On her return to France, she set up her studio in Larmor-Plage. Her work was featured in a summer 2011 exhibition in Pornic.
