Fulleylove, John - "The Ring Given to Venus" - (Leicester 1845-1908 London) Scene from a story by William Morris: in a southern coastal landscape, the protagonist Laurence carelessly slips his wedding ring onto the finger of a statue of Venus, which leads to complications in the course of the story.
