Wall-mounted cartel in patinated and varnished bronze, circa 1760. In green patinated bronze and varnished bronze branches. The whole in rocaille form, with asymmetrical decor, scrolls of leaves and branches. Large white enamel dial with black numerals. Period cartel movement with square plates, silk thread suspension, count wheel with very flared crosses in the center and fine serge. Height 76 cm, width 50 cm Usual repairs, no obvious alterations to the mechanism, some missing decoration on the case. Needs overhaul and cleaning. These cartels, produced essentially for 18th-century haberdashery merchants, are not widely distributed on the market and are fine objects, often integrated into a larger ornamental project. A good collector's item or "period room" type reconstruction. Expert : Marc VOISOT - 06 27 54 51 38 - restauration@atelierchronos.com
