OPERA - CRISTALLI Italo (1879 - 1932) - Photographic portrait with autograph dedication signed Photographic portrait with autograph dedication signed, dated “Firenze 3 Maggio 1904” of the Italian tenor. In 1904, Cristalli made his Bergamo debut in Richard Wagner's Lohengrin, gaining unanimous critical acclaim. The success in the Wagner role was such that in the following months Cristalli was engaged in the theatres of Ferrara, Novara and Pisa. In 1914 he left for New York, where at the Metropolitan Theatre he sang under the baton of Toscanini in several operas including Donizetti's “Don Pasquale” and Wolf Ferrari's “L’Amore Medico”.
