OPERA - FERRONI Luigi (1885 - 1962) - Large photographic portrait with autograph dedication signed Large photographic portrait with autograph dedication signed, dated “Modena 7/3/916” by the Italian bass singer, here as Mefistofele in Charles Gounod’s Faust. He studied at the Florence Conservatory with maestro Guglielmo Braca and made his debut there in 1904 at the Verdi Theatre as the King in Aida. In 1921 he sang at the Costanzi in Rome in the world premiere of Piccolo Marat, creating the character of the Ogre for Mascagni. He retired in the 1950s. Dedicated to the impresario Olindo Maini.
