(Cuenca, July 13, 1925) is a Spanish painter and sculptor. A self-taught artist, together with Gerardo Rueda and Fernando Zóbel he formed the so-called "Cuenca school", which was one of the first initiatives to introduce the new currents of modern art in Spain, in the 1960s, being the founding of the Museum of Art Spanish Abstract of Cuenca - a museum of which he is a co-founder - his main initiative.
