A CHINESE LONGQUAN DISH, MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
With rounded sides and flattened rim. The interior carved and incised with a peony in a medallion in the centre, the well with a continuous flower meander, the rim with meandering scrolls. The exterior carved and incised with lotus petals between horizontal lines. The unglazed ring on the base burnt reddish in the firing.
