A LARGE SEATED IDOL H. 10.1 cm. Clay, traces of red paint. Western Asia, Neolithic, 1st half 5th mill. B.C. Bird-like head with polos and bird-like face. The figure cradles her full breasts in her looped arms. The underside of her compact legs without any natural line. Edge of buttocks worn, otherwise undamaged. Fertility idol. Provenance: Coll. Mit schlaufenförmigen Armen präsentiert sie die prallen Brüste. Kompakte Beine; deren Unterseite ohne natürliche Kontur. Bestossung am Gesässrand; sonst intakt. Fruchtbarkeitsidol. Provenienz: Slg.
