AN APIS BULL L. 5.5 cm. Bronze, solid cast. Egyptian, Ptolemaic Period, 2nd-1st cent. B.C. Small votive statuette of the fertility god Apis in the form of a bull with a sun disk and uraeus between its horns. The bull stands on a rectangular plinth and has a caparison and two falcons with outstretched wings finely incised on its back. Plinth slightly worn. Provenance: Coll. Leu, Zurich (1980-2012). - Formerly Zurich art market, 1980s.
APIS-STIER L. 5.5 cm. Bronze, Vollguss. Ägyptisch, Ptolemäische Epoche, 2.-1. Jh.v.C. Kleine Votivstatuette des Fruchtbarkeitsgottes Apis in seiner Gestalt als Stier mit Sonnenscheibe und Uräus zwischen dem Gehörn; auf langrechteckiger Plinthe stehend; Schabracke und zwei Falken mit ausgebreiteten Flügeln fein auf Rücken ziseliert.
